@Pronate@StrengthDebates Honestly man, I’m really hoping this is satire at this point. If you’re a troll, really, really good job you got me. If you’re not… I hope you realize you are too stupid to argue with. Such a lack of understanding of how things work that you are incapable of real reasoning
@Pronate@StrengthDebates Andres Munoz… throws 100+ consistently. Also extremely strong lower half, which he uses to accelerate the ball through something called kinetic sequencing. Force transfers up the body through the legs, hips, core, then arm and ball.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates Because… they do? Why would it be better to be weaker when throwing a baseball? Lifting weights both improves your capacity to apply force and absorb force, which improves your performance and decreases injury risk. Science is not on your side my friend
@Pronate@StrengthDebates Because it requires an absurd amount of force to accelerate a 282 POUND MAN from 0 to max speed. You can train all you want, injuries still can happen no matter what you do when you are that big and move as fast as he does
@Pronate@StrengthDebates I guarantee you Judge was doing this plus more, on top of weight lifting. You clearly haven’t been around professional baseball, they sprint all the time.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates If you don’t believe deadlifting has any translation into pitching you don’t know a thing about biomechanics. It teaches your body to handle the force required to throw a baseball hard consistently. AKA, using your legs, which we all know is important to throwing healthily
@Pronate@StrengthDebates Sprinting is absolutely needed if you’re trying to improve your sprint speed. But at a certain point, that alone won’t help you. Just ask every single track sprinter, every one of them who competes at a high level is a demon in the weight room.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates And what are those? (Genuinely curious not trying to be a dick). There is definitely more than one way to get to the same spot so if these exercises increase your ability to apply and absorb force then they can definitely be beneficial.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates It’s pretty simple when you think about it. Sprinting requires a ton of force to accelerate the body in a short period of time. If you don’t build a capacity to handle that amount of force through strength and sprint training, your injury chances increase.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates Lifting heavy weights is a much closer replication of the amount of force needed to move at game speed, in fact the heavier you lift builds more of those quick twitch fibers. If we’re talking running though, a combination of lifting and sprints is ideal.
@Pronate@StrengthDebates It’s like if you were trying to prepare to deadlift or squat 600 lbs and your idea of training for that is to do a lot of reps of 200lbs. You aren’t going to train your body for what is actually required to move 600lbs
@Andrew_Sacks It’s pretty obviously just a delay from the sensor and the iPad displaying it. Wireless data doesn’t transfer instantaneously, but if it needs more obvious spelling out for you, that won’t affect the actual time.
