I also wish specialists would take a step back from this conversation and recognize they may not have appropriate insight or stake in the fight to contribute right now. Reduce the noise and let trainees and family doctors have genuine debate

Most importantly, I think this argument is a huge distraction from the actual problems facing FM and reducing recruitment.

- PAY EQUITY FOR PCPs
- REDUCE AND RATIONALIZE ADMIN BURDEN
- STOP LETTING SPECIALISTS DENIGRATE FM q4h on every single f***ing rotation

@DrMichaelGreen1 The responses to this are so frustrating. So many voices that are neither learners nor PCPs right now. IMO, let the medical students, residents, and GPs speak on the real life experience of family medicine and the factors that are most unappealing to learners

Namely, renumeration for the amount of work done, admin burden, and cultural contempt for family physicians in hospital spaces

@RingerInTheER @LDolanjski @janephilpott @CD4CD25 @CFPC_e I am perhaps biased, but as an FM-R2 preparing for my CFPC exam, I think a third year is an inevitable step for the future of FM training given the modern expectation of family docs. I think we would be delaying progress out of fear to deny that
