Joint enforcement teams have begun clearing illegal squatters, shanties, makeshift structures, and unauthorized trading activities from the Orile–Okokomaiko median on the Badagry Expressway, following Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's directive.
The operation, involving the Lagos State Environmental Task Force, KAI, RRS, and LAWMA, aims to restore public infrastructure, improve traffic flow, enhance safety, maintain environmental order, and tackle security concerns.
The Lagos State Government reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy against the illegal occupation of public spaces, stating that similar enforcement exercises will continue across the state.
