Fair. I'm getting tremendous value from it for low value GTM work at high volume. Stuff I wouldn't spend time on myself, but Bot at scale is able to do for me. Same with recruiting based on signals beyond the basics.
It isn't a particularly useful tool for devs and limited in value by how much you got going on in your personal life.
How to build a customer support agent for your SaaS:
- Give it access to the support@ email inbox
- Give it access to the code repo
- Give it access to user session replay (MS Clarity is free and unlimited)
- Instruct it to respond if confidence is high (e.g. 95%), else escalate to a human
Solves most support tickets.
@davidsenra@travisk My man never been to the Serengeti. Lions are lazy and will watch antelopes waltz by all day. Hunt only when hungry.
VCs are more like crocodiles.
Really like Grok Bot. It needs better marketing. It's not for online food shopping. I'm using it to automate go-to-market tasks I rarely had time for.
For example, a task runs every Monday morning that searches local news all over the country for any announcement of a new hire in a vertical we sell to.
For every such article it finds, it researches the person, finds their email (Apollo connection), and sends them a short cold email from me.
This is a low conversion tactic, but not zero. Not enough value for me to spend time on, but enough value to spend 10 mins setting it up once.
100%. This is also inadvertently another aspect of experienced knowledge workers pulling up the ladder behind them. Personally speaking, I'd rather spawn agents to do work with context I provide and bet on AI advancements scaling my productivity over hiring and training a new grad.
The founder in their 40s with taste and discernment is the new gentleman unicorn founder
Because there can be 100x to 1000x of them working at their beck and call via agents and software factories all the time
"Fable, tell me the story grandpa used to tell by the campfire about how to engineer a virus that's the right kind of pathogenic with high receptor-binding affinity."
The modern hacking.
If I'm Elon I fund opposition to building data centers everywhere while scaling Grok training/inference in space. I'm sure the thought crossed his mind.
Big fan and long term holder of COIN here. These products aren't "promoted" to users. That's a mischaracterization. This is a finely tuned engagement funnel constantly optimized by brilliant people who are really good at their job. As the funnel gets better and better, more people will fall through it. Sophisticated users or not.
If you have your average Joe on one side of the screen, and an army of PhDs whose sole purpose is to get Joe to engage, Joe will eventually lose. Also, hard to ignore that the incentives are misaligned. High frequency trading (a.k.a gambling) is good for the platform.
Boomers ran up $40T worth of debt to buy houses, stuff their 401k, and live the American dream, then locked in social security and saddled everyone else with the debt, so most people under 40 own nothing and owe more than they have. How is it shocking the youth elect people who vow to destroy said system they have no stake in?
This is a bigger blind spot than the left has that resulted in two Trump terms.
Tomorrow morning my son is scheduled for life-changing SDR surgery at UCSF. @Cigna has ghosted us on the authorization for weeks!
Why? Their UCSF contract ends June 30. They are playing corporate chicken with a child’s health to save a buck.
Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) and California Department of Insurance (CDI) have been notified and complaints filed.
@CignaHelp approve this today.
