One of the biggest divides between self-styled “builder” crowd (aka Butt-hurt big-blockers), & the “laser-eyed Maxis” is the evident gap in seriousness with which each group approaches #bitcoin.

For the latter, #bitcoin is clearly one of - if not the - most important movements in the world today, & we therefore approach any change or disruption with extreme caution & seriousness.

The former group, in all of their conduct, whether it is dancing about in wizard costumes, joking about “breaking #bitcoin,” making cringe-worthy memes, writing JPEGs to the blockchain, etc. have shown that they simply do not take #bitcoin seriously enough for me to trust them with anything.

I am not opposed to changes to #bitcoin, but these changes must be approached in a serious way by serious people.

When the people proposing changes conduct themselves in a childish, embarrassing manner like @LayerTwoLabs, it makes me instantly want to reject anything & everything they propose. This childish nonsense belongs in crypto. #Bitcoin has grown up and left these childish things behind. Its next steps are corporate and nation-state adoption, reforming energy grids, & bringing down central banks, not monkey JPEGs & issuing shitcoin side chains. If the latter is all you aspire to, you don’t belong here, child.

I’m not going to trust petulant children to upgrade the most important technological development in my lifetime.

#bitcoin deserves better than these clown wizards.
