@imrobertjames@treejordan Our economy is structured around coerced participation in the workforce. If youโre incentivizing getting branded for an interview opportunity, then youโre using power dynamics to permanently get an advert on a human body and to someone who might not even get hired.
@GonzDaGreat@OldSport_X@rkylesmith If your boss is ruining your work and actively defaming you in front of your colleagues and you just take it then youโre a spineless, lifeless husk of a person
@rkylesmith Youโre basically admitting you donโt care about the quality of your own work and would gladly accept someone twisting it into something that itโs notโhave some self respect, Kyle!
@rkylesmith Hell yeah! You used to have to earn the respect of your colleagues but now you can force everyone to respect you out of fear! So much easier and you donโt even have to try that hard!
@denverfrogTCU@rkylesmith@redsteeze Pelley is representative of pre-existing good company culture and he deserves respect for standing up for that. Calling out dehumanizing behavior at work should be the norm and not a job terminating offense.
@OldSport_X@rkylesmith Arrogance is not calling out someone elseโs bad behavior. Arrogance is thinking you can fire people who make you feel insecure because theyโre better at the job than you.
@yannicklu This would present accessibility/usability problemsโapp icons that change frequently disrupt the symbol associated with the utility. Itโs a cute idea but not practical
@mattcampux I agree with this sentiment and would add that data is also really fickle. I worked for a place where it took 6mos to gather enough to make an effective model but then something environmentally shifted which instantly rendered the data useless. This stuff is really brittle rn
@NBACouchside They did at the deadline but weโll see this summer I guess. I just find the whole move more about playing politics with Luka than anything else.
