@MineralCup Not only are Zircon's fluorescent, but they aren't all tiny little things either. This one crystal is more than 10 cm long (almost as big as your fist) and weighs 740g!!
@RaihanaHusain@MineralCup How very true. Now my specimen is broken into three pieces because it really didn't fit in that box. (Nothing to do with either if these minerals. But it just broke, so I am sad).
@MineralCup Sodalite is fantastic. Not only is it blue (except when it isn't), but it often fluoresces a bright orange. Walk along the beaches of most of the Great Lakes with a UV light and you too might find some of these cool rocks.
@FossilLocator@MineralCup@NMNH My MIL had a moissanite ring. It was kind of nice, albeit very slightly green. She liked to challenge jewelers to identify the stone.
