@kimyoun11732107@washingtonpost From the WP Article: Magalhães (the Nanny) had earlier pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced by Azcarate to 10 years.
@MarkZuckerman I get the LHP opener strategy with Litell or Mikolas. I also get the Marlins have lots of lefties, but Lovelady has reverse splits and allows too many baserunners. He also pitched yesterday. Not a fan. Expect to see Mitchell P late, which is also a concern.
@SleeperNats The Nats announced its Alvarez. The bigger question is what do the Nats do, if Alvarez deals in his starts until Irvin is ready to return?
@GrantPaulsen Tena is also in a big-time slide. 2 for his last 25 with 1 BB and 13 Ks. Nunez will always be offensively challenged. Need another lefty bat that can play multiple positions.
@GrantPaulsen Worth noting that Rochester has won 10 straight, even with constant roster manuevering to benefit the MLB team. The depth of organizational talent (and coaching impact) has been off the charts strong.
@MarkZuckerman He also has scored 5 runs (which is the point) in 2+ games in Cleveland. Wood leads MLB in runs scored by 8 (which is a ton). Lead off hitters are supposed to score runs, and no one in the game is better at scoring runs.
@GrantPaulsen Wood also leads MLB in runs scored by 5. That's the goal of every MLB position player: to score runs, particularly the lead-off batter. No one in the game has been better at scoring runs.
@SleeperNats A delayed start or an in-game delay is possible tonight, but all three games will be played over this weekend. The rain will be sporadic. MLB fields drain so well, and grounds crews know what they are doing. If there is a window, the games will go on.
@TalkNats Consistent with others, what has Cole Henry done to merit an automatic return to active 25 roster when healthy. He's got to prove it at Rochester first. As an example, Ribalta is better now that Henry, and it's not close.
@WeAreAllShack What? While we all have hopes for Dillon Crews, he has done nothing to earn an every day job at either CF or RF. If we are basing MLB playing time on 2026 production, Joey Weimer would be playing WF today. Crews would still be in Rochester.
@fixintoturnleft@MarkZuckerman@Nats_Chat Yeah, it's because Yoyo isn't on the 40 man. That said, don't think the Nats would be losing a thing to DFA Andre Granillo. This essentially means Vivas (no pop) or Tena (bad defense, even for the Nats) is playing 3B everyday for awhile. Yikes.
@Nats_HRs Good pitching? Mediocre pitching would be enough to make this team contender. Nats have the worst pitching and defense and are somehow hanging around .500.
@GrantPaulsen Would guess Yoyo comes soon. Weimer and Young are both banged up and the active roster has too many OFs. Vivas isn't and will never be an everyday player, and Tena is the worst defensive player on the roster, and that's saying something.
