Ayers’ career, which started in the 1960s hard-bop scene, left a lasting legacy of rich sound and creativity. His music continues to resonate, with his iconic vibe heard in collaborations with legends like Fela Kuti, Erykah Badu, and The Roots. Roy Ayers’ unique sound will live on through the generations he inspired.
