I realized a few years ago while reporting on “Big Tech, Big Brother” for my series “Lara Logan Has No Agenda” that they often put these data centers in places where we cannot see them, reinforcing the idea that the “cloud” is somehow in the sky when in fact all our information is stored on physical servers in physical buildings. I was in the Nevada desert & we were filming massive data centers in the middle of nowhere that all require constant cooling - which means massive amounts of electricity.
