Reminder: Primary in MA on Sept 3.
Spent yesterday knocking doors for @ElectCartwright for Clerk of MA SJC, because the woman who tirelessly represents me in Congress asked for our help & when @AyannaPressley believes in someone you know they're going to impress you. #vote
Anyone have suggestions for aurora viewing within a ~2hr drive of Boston tonight? Trying to triangulate across various maps of cloud cover, light pollution, etc. Thought it might be easier to just ask for suggestions!
Huge congrats @GGoldman46, new Assistant Director for Environmental Science, Engineering, Policy and Justice @WHOSTP
Gretchen was one of the 1st people I had the honor to work with and learn from in my #scipol career. Knowing she'll use #science to inform policy gives me #hope!
@dmccabe@GideonResnick .@GideonResnick I think this might be the first time I've waded into the cancel culture wars... but, as a very loyal WAD listener and former particle physicist, I just wanted to point out that canceling Newton is so last century... It was basically Einstein's whole schtick ;)
@TheRealDHR@RichardvReeves@John_N_Friedman Why does it matter? Lacking a causal explanation doesn't mean the correlation is not a problem. Nor does it mean the issue can't be addressed in the meantime (article has suggestions for this). So putting an unanswered question out there to raise an issue seems...very reasonable?
Elevating diverse voices is not just the responsibility of event organizers, but also the invited participants. Before you respond to your next request to speak on a panel, read this excellent resource by @GretchenTG and @kristydahl https://t.co/WyV9y2zg0i
I just found out @BusinessInsider declared my labor of love project ("Tools for Academic Engagement in Public Policy") as one of the top 13 free online MIT courses!

@alexpghayes @aecoppock @AnnaMeierPS I didn't do (academic) research in this area, but I did create @MITpolicylab which connected experts to policymakers. I'd be happy to discuss it from a practitioner point of view if that's helpful. I also created an EdX course on the topic: https://t.co/oOXdiHyE8N

Powerful statement by @DrReedTuckson at #AAASForum: If, after we pass this pandemic, we're still talking about Tuskegee and debating if we need to address health inequities, then shame on us. #scipol
Donald Trump has earned the scathing critiques of his rhetoric, policies, corrupt Administration & disgraceful debate performance. However, given the many descriptors at your disposal, I appeal to analysts not to say things like, he is on drugs, forgot his meds, clearly has ADHD.
I know the Trump tax stuff won't change anyone's mind about him as President. I would settle for it opening people's eyes to how broken our tax system is.
Students work to narrow the gap between scientists and society at the Scientific Citizenship Initiative @Harvard, which is run by Executive Director and STPF alum @DPomeroy. https://t.co/M0B6kSa5ZI
