Before the end of 2023, I finally premiered my upcoming #NFT project, A Giant Leap, at Cer Modern Arts Center. This video is from an immersive presentation I made there, explaining my process on my #audiovisual, tangible explorations using #computationaldesign #generativedesign and #dataphysicalization.

This question bothered me for quite a long time: "What if it were possible to create a brand new artifact from our memories?"

Ten years, to be exact :)

I am very pleased and excited to be able to start sharing my experience throughout this journey, which was also fueled by my previous presentations at @Falling_Walls 2017 in Berlin. These findings are from my "Sound Data as Design Material" PhD in METU Department of Industrial Design (@METU_ODTU), which I will further my studies in my Assistant Professor role at Bilkent University (@BilkentUniv) Department of Graphic Design.

I am pursuing this journey at the intersection of #design, #art, #science, and #technology. I am pleased to connect with like-minded and curious individuals from all disciplines. If you are kind enough to help me, comments and sharing would be great.

In the aftermath of the earthquake, rescue teams searched tirelessly for survivors. One of the most haunting moments was when a rescuer called out:

"Can anyone hear my voice?"

That plea, full of hope and desperation, became the foundation of this artwork.

I transformed that sound—real data from a rescue operation—into a **3D physical form** using computational design. This process turned an ephemeral moment into a tangible memory: a "Mnemonic Data Sculpture"

It’s not just art. It’s a way to "preserve memory" and support those still in need.

It's a **symbol of resilience, remembrance, and aid.
