सबसे खराब हाल पश्चिम बंगाल के विदेशी मेडिकल ग्रेजुएट्स का है जहा मेडिकल काउंसिल (WBME) ने अभी तक FMGs के लिए इंटर्नशिप की लिस्ट जारी नहीं की है यहां MBBS कर चुके छात्रों का सफेद कोट मरीजों को अटेंड करने का मोहताज हो गया है। वे इंटर्नशिप करने के लिए इंतजार कर रहे हैं, लेकिन उनके लिए इंटर्नशिप के दरवाजे अभी भी बंद हैं। इसके अलावा बिहार में FMGs को अपनी इंटर्नशिप के लिए बहुत विरोध प्रदर्शन करना पड़ा है।

1422 seats available each year for FMGs yet government only open 188 seat for whole year ( 2 batch of FMGs) also they couldn't accomodate Last june 2024 batch students completely and on top of that this January 2025 batch is waiting. There is lack of seat also...266 only now.

West Bengal has nearly 1600+ internship seats for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs), but the Directorate of Medical Education (DME @wbdhfw ) has not released them yet for Jan FMGE passed students. This delay is severely impacting FMGs, jeopardizing their career progression and mental health. If internships don’t start soon, many FMGs will be ineligible for NEET PG next year, further obstructing their medical careers. The uncertainty is causing extreme distress, and urgent action is needed to prevent further setbacks. Authorities must ensure timely allocation of seats, allowing FMGs to continue their medical training without unnecessary hurdles.
