May 12th marks two deeply meaningful observances — World Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME) Awareness Day and International Nurses Day.

As a physician, I’ve seen firsthand the invisible struggles of those battling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome — a condition that drains energy, limits lives, and yet often goes unrecognized. It’s time we bring visibility to the invisible. We must listen, validate, and support those who fight daily battles within their own bodies — with strength the world cannot see.
Let us spread awareness, push for research, and most importantly, show compassion.

On this same day, we also bow our heads in respect and raise our hands in applause for our nurses — the heart of healthcare.
From midnight vigils to emergency rooms, they bring skill, empathy, and resilience to every shift. They are the ones who hold a child's hand during pain, reassure anxious parents, and walk beside doctors in saving lives.

To the nurses and the warriors of chronic illness — your courage inspires us all.
