Additionally, Iโm using OoT Reloaded for the environments and the 3DS animations mod by Fadรณ and SisterLemon7. Everythingโs running beautifully in 4K at 60 FPS.
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl That's right! Though it seems the majority of the newcomer's support has been going to Twilight Princess.
Even with the "fully linked" situation, the TP PC port will arrive before TWW and SS even reach 100% Decomp, I'm afraid. ๐ค
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl Hard to tell, that remaining 12.87% is the port's bottleneck. The current situation increases the workload exponentially as the linking process is being made parallel to the port's development, which won't be properly functional until a 100% is reached.
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl That's a good question!
Having the c++ source code fully reconstructed (100% Decompiled) doesn't imply that, once compiled, it will produce a functionally identical ISO right away.
In this case, it's 87.13% identical to the original. ๐ซก๐
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl You're right. There's nothing else we can do.
Understandable, this might by the main fan project of the year.
Unless OoT Recomp with RTX is released, tho. ๐ค
@DeprivedShade@zelda@opengl It is! You're right, while I cannot mention the people behind this, every member is working diligently. Definitely, an achievement that must to be applauded. ๐ซก
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl I hope so. While there's no ETA, it would make sense to coincide with the Twilight Princess 20th Anniversary.
True, development progress can fluctuate.
Updates, it seems it's still the "invisible work" of touching the code rather than the visuals. ๐ซก
@OmegaDelta64@zelda@opengl My man, good to see you here!
While PC porting is a complicated process by itself, Decomp was even slower cause it involved "deducing" the original code.
With the "recipe" in hand, development and testing is faster than the "guessing" process. ๐ซก
@eeoteeot@zelda@opengl Hello! There's no ETA but, quoting one of the devs:
"A lot of the stuff right now is is inside the code and doesn't touch the visuals".
Once enough progress worth a video is done, we'll be publishing it! I just don't want to spam people with clickbait content. ๐
