Specializing in infectious diseases, vaccines and public health to improve lives in Bangladesh and beyond. Focus on capacity development, especially of women
Wonderful news. Congratulations Tulip and Rushanara in your success in Britain. Girls, I am so proud of you all for your achievements and for adding to the news of Bangladeshi women being successful in their efforts at home and abroad. Keep it up and reach higher!!!
@AnitaZaidi @GavinCleaver @TheLancet Wondeful discussion Anita in The Lancet Voice. You touched upon the successes of Vaccines but also on challenges that face Women in Global Health. We are in this struggle together to decrease the gap and find solutions to make the world a safer place for women and babies.
One thing I love: talking about gender equality & how the state of womenโs health & finances influences our broader global goals.
I had the opportunity to sit down with @GavinCleaver from @TheLancet to share some solutions.

@MichelleObama Always sad in the passing away of parents but understand the difference made by Marian Robinson. Sympathies for both Michelle and Barack. However this will give incentives to move ahead to fufill Marian Robinson's dreams.
@drSaimaWazed@WHO@WHOSEARO Looking forward to working with you, for Bangladesh , the region and the global south for prevention and control of life threatening diseases. All the best
The World Cervical Cancer Elimination and Action Day was voiced at the Dhaka University by ideSHi with Dept of Public Health. The Vice Chancellor, Professors, and Students supported the pledge, ending up with a rally. IdeSHi will continue with vaccination awareness and actions.

Have followed Dr Saleem and knew of his contribution to the emerging problems in Bangladesh due to climate change. Many of the areas I work in are directly related to its aftermath and negative impact. Wish I had met him and not delayed my intentions. Will always be sorry.
@drSaimaWazed
Agree completely. We need to target all the issues - infectious diseases, non communicable disease and in all these is also embedded mental health. Just returning from Gtfcc WHO cholera meeting where Bangladesh yet again showed excellence. Together we will win
@SecGTFCC@IVIHeadquarters Great meeting. Lots achieved for the #EndCholera Roadmap 2030 yet more to be done. We each have to expedite to bring cholera deaths and burden down globally
