And no action is being taken yet against him .
Today he dared to slap , tomorrow he will try to molest another woman .
This is the level of harassment Indian women face silently !

To all the doctors out there,
especially interns and residents

(and nurses too)

we have normalised a lot of things over the last few years

which might not have been normal earlier...

these are general stuff that says, "yeah, we are doctors, but we are human so we do this also..."

so for example

Sleeping with the head placed down on the table
Or on a chair in the casualty

Dancing and chatting and giggling around in the wards

Wearing casual clothes, chappals etc

Now, while I am all about being chill and relaxed...

This creates a false impression to the patient or their relatives

They think one is being unprofessional
Not doing their duty correctly

Here is what I practice personally:

1) Formal clothes/scrubs and shoes when in hospital.

2) When I'm sleepy, I go to the doctor's room and sleep, and the door is shut.

3) Casual conversations are held away from patients or their attendants

4) No goofy stuff in public like teasing each other, hitting/tickling people etc, which I have seen many people do

5) I live on campus so it is not possible to be in uniform at all times; but when I venture out at night, it is in decent clothes

6) Daily bath, grooming to look presentable at times; takes 10 -15 minutes etc
