This is not accurate. Ive been an ICU nurse for 15 years and specialized in critical care neurosciences. Brain death is a very real diagnosis with specific clinical criteria and testing that must be done, including multiple positives in multiple tests by 2 physicians.

Brain death is the complete and irreversible loss of all brain function, including the brain stem, which controls essential functions like breathing, consciousness, and reflexes. Even if machines can temporarily keep the heart beating and oxygen moving through the body, the person themselves can no longer think, feel, wake up, or breathe independently.

What quality of life is that? Plus keeping a non functioning body alive on a ventilator increases the chances of infection, etc dramatically.
