Believe me, I love removing unnecessary medications.Sometimes there's no perfect answer, and most doctors would take a patient who can be optimized once stabilized.
@therealRYC Useful data point but not sure completely generalizes. In these patients who self-reported seeing a psychiatrist for depression or anxiety, I'd believe genetics isn't driving generic mood/anxiety disorders. It doesn't prevent genetics driving atypical/severe cases.

@DrDominicNg@mkaeberlein Correct. And @mkaeberlein has approached translational aging research with a lot of reliance on evidence based efficacy. He's a generally optimistic guy, but is probably advocating out of concern when lack of authoritative evidence increases risk for people to get duped.
