Context to how cold it is...Cincinnati is -7F at 11 AM and the last time it was -5F or colder at noon was 1/19/94. So if you are 30 years old or younger, you can't recall a day this cold in your lifetime. Coincidentally, 1/19/94 featured -30F wind chills, just like today.

I really wish people would stop drastically using the scenarios of rape or incest as the sole premise for an abortion. A woman doesn’t have to be in a traumatic situation for it to be reason enough. In fact there is zero explanation that needs to be given.

There is no possibility that I would ever consentually get pregnant. But I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and pregnancy would have a high risk of complications or could kill me. With the laws many states are trying to pass, I still might not be able to get an abortion.

I’ve thought about getting my tubes tied/removed for years, but finally scheduled an appointment today. I would prefer a tubal ligation, but those have a higher risk of ectopic pregnancy than total removal, and if abortion becomes inaccessible that risk isn’t worth taking.

I’m glad that Lizzo apologized with full accountability, and better yet releasing the song w/o the slur. With that said, I hope the same people who had a lot of anti-black things to say under the guise of accountability about Lizzo have the same energy for their yt faves.
