@PeterGam@scriptableapp The problem is back again. Idk if this is becoming more trouble than it's worth for you to maintain; seems like Google will tweak this new API somewhat actively until they settle on something they like
@priyachandscifi @kneehowbabygirl @bathams_drinker@ADHD_Marie Agreed. It's frustrating to read writing that's unclear only b/c the author prioritized their ease of expression over the reader's ease of comprehension. Don't make me struggle to figure out the antecedents of your pronouns and sh*t like that, it's so inconsiderate lol
@etoveselo@argrig@lichess Chess dot com is so ugly. It feels really mushy when playing because if you tap on a piece it lifts up, bleh. Plus they don't show checks clearly. Lichess has such a clean and fast feeling in comparison
@merakikru @netflix@Twitter I had to skip past the timestamp where the pop up is triggered and then rewind, which is fussy, inelegant, and immersion-breaking. Fans want the immersion dangit
@merakikru @netflix@Twitter I tried that but it didn't prevent the "playing next" pop up from coming up. But that's beside the point because I don't want to scramble to interact with the webUI/app when I'm still mentally immersed in the movie world.
@netflix@Twitter I just watched this on Netflix. Great movie! But it reminded me how much I hate that Netflix doesn't let you watch the credits. Give the creators their due! Don't force me to watch some trailer I don't care about.
@theorygurl this thread has popped into my mind once every few months since i first read it and i hope it keeps doing so forever; it just gets better with time
@DilemmaPodcast@coldxman@jay_shapiro listening to this right now and really enjoying it! glad Dilemma is back
took a break to look up this German philosopher of play; for anyone curious, looks like it's spelled Huizinga, and the book title is Homo Ludens, published 1938
(on closer inspection this might not be the same Roofcat as before, but i choose to believe any coloring differences owe to your standard seasonal changes)
