Philanthropies play a key role in addressing major global health challenges, including maternal and child health, infectious diseases such as polio and leprosy, antimicrobial resistance, and so much more.
I thank the Temasek Trust and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance for organizing and inviting me to join the #PAA2025. My three asks to the participants were:
1) To work with countries not only to address specific health issues, but also to build their capacities on their journey towards financial self-reliance;
2) To work with @WHO, to enable us to provide the high-quality technical expertise and on-the-ground presence on which so many countries rely;
3) To work with each other, to coordinate and maximize their impact and reach.
