Super proud to share our latest pre-print with @driglar 🎉 ! Using an engineered bacterial biosensor 🦠 we monitored sialic acid (an important metabolite for gut microbes) in the gut. https://t.co/I5ADGJ6aSA
Excited to share our labs latest paper.
We use #synbio for biosensor discovery to aid our quest to build 'smart probiotics' to sense and treat disease.
Well done @KlondikeClare et al!
Thanks @wellcometrust for funding!

#synbio people - are there any examples of published results from public consultation on the idea of delivering synthetic engineered organisms/cells to patients in the clinic?
Come be a PI with me... our continually-awesome Bioengineering Dept is hiring for up to 4 new faculty members, including in synthetic biology and molecular bioengineering. #SynBio | Pls RT https://t.co/k6hviOAV7e
So proud to share the 1st Riglar lab paper. An amazing effort from @KlondikeClare@CarrenoYugueros@thenextofus & Mindy Chen @ImperialInfect@TheCrick! A discovery platform to identify inducible synthetic circuitry from varied microbial sources https://t.co/zZMmJ9oiUA 1/n
Along the way we learn a lot about testing pools of engineered bacteria in the mammalian gut. And simplify the process of library design and construction. This leaves us ready to look for unique biosensors from a wider range of bacterial sources for more diverse applications 8/n
