Your buyers discovered you on TikTok. Validated you on Reddit. Got a second opinion from ChatGPT.
And your attribution model has no idea any of that happened 👀
This isn't a future problem, it's already here.
• Google holds 73% of discovery across 41 major surfaces (not the 90%+ most marketers plan around)
• The other 27% is where opinions form, and decisions get made without you
• 43% of consumers have already discovered a brand through AI
Here's what the multi-platform discovery can look like 👇
Most founders accidentally train their customers never to pay them.
@MadhavanSF (the "pricing guru" of Silicon Valley - having worked with LinkedIn, Uber, and 30+ unicorns) calls it the 20/80 Pricing Trap
• 20% of your features drive 80% of the willingness to pay
• Founders give that 20% away for free to gain distribution
• You are left trying to monetize the remaining 80% of features - the ones users don't actually value.
The result? You build a charity, not a business.
In this week's episode of The Library of Minds, we discuss the science of monetization and deconstruct how to architect ‘Profitable Growth’ - the core framework from his new book, Scaling Innovation.

Google has finally openly acknowledged how it uses social signals and your social media accounts to understand your website borders.
This topic is too deep for a short post, but one thing must be clear:
Google does not rank websites. Google ranks Web Entities.
Your website is only one surface of that entity.
Over time, Google has started to integrate social media channels into Google Search Console. This is not accidental. It serves two major purposes from Google’s side.
First:
Yes, AI may reduce some organic clicks. But Google compensates by routing visibility and traffic through social platforms, especially those with strong forum and discussion contexts.
Second:
Google actively incentivizes content creation on platforms it owns or partners with, such as YouTube and Reddit.
Back in 2022, Google introduced Perspectives. Since then, the algorithm has increasingly favored experience-focused language, first-hand narratives, and human tonality aligned with language models.
Now look at the timeline.
• December 8, 2025: Google announced social channel integration in Search Console
• December 12, 2025: Google released the December BCAU
• Social platforms continued expanding their presence in rankings, AI Overviews, and AI Mode
This is not coincidence.
Since 2019, we have been measuring and processing the impact of social media signals in our case studies.
One conclusion has remained consistent.
If you have traffic diversification combined with strong brand attribution, you are far more resilient against BCAUs.
This leads to the core concept.
Your site does not end where your .com ends.
These are cross-domain Web Entities.
Your Facebook profile is part of your Web Source.
Your YouTube channel is part of your Web Source.
Their performance directly influences how Google understands, trusts, and ranks the whole entity.
Just as websites and Google Business Profiles tend to move together in rankings, social channels usually gain visibility when your entity wins a BCAU.
This update marks a new phase.
It is an open invitation to social engineering at scale, with stronger relevance configuration and a deeper illusion of choice inside the SERP.
Next year, around June, we plan to launch a new course and lecture series covering algorithmic authorship rules, Web Entity understanding, and layout and visual semantics.
