MBBS & BDS interns in J&K continue to receive one of the lowest stipends in the country despite handling emergency duties, night shifts, and patient care daily.
Delays, administrative silence, and lack of support are exposing the failure of the healthcare system in J&K.
Omar Govt’s failing health system stands exposed once again — even MBBS & BDS interns are being forced to struggle for their rightful stipend hike.
While young doctors serve the people of J&K, Omar Abdullah’s government continues to deliver only delays, excuses and administrative apathy.
GMC Handwara Day 5.
Still no order from the J&K Govt. Patients are being affected, and we care deeply about them-we don’t want to see anyone suffer.
But the govt continues to remain silent and delay a genuine demand.
We don’t want to protest. We want a solution. @OfficeOfLGJandK
Thank you for standing with the intern doctors of J&K and supporting our genuine demand for a fair stipend. Your solidarity means a lot to all of us. 🤝
We don’t beg—we demand what is rightfully due. ✊

Apni Party leader Jibran Dar joined our protest today and expressed his solidarity with the young intern doctors in their legitimate demand for stipend enhancement.
He assured his full support in raising the issue and advocating for a fair and timely resolution.
Candle march at GMC Handwara for the long-pending internship stipend revision.
We are doctors. We serve, we work, and we deserve to be treated fairly.
₹30,000 is our legitimate demand.
We deserve it. We don’t beg for it.
✊ WE DESERVE. WE DON’T BEG.

The file is “under process” yet again. How long are J&K interns expected to wait?
Administrative delays, repeated assurances and complete inaction have pushed interns to the streets.
Ok We don’t need another assurance. We need an order. We need ₹30,000. We need justice.
The demand of MBBS interns for an increase in their monthly stipend was genuine and that a proposal for the hike was already under process: Health Minister @sakinaitoo.
No compromise. No division. No breaking ranks.
We request the J&K Government to resolve the stipend issue at the earliest and ensure fair treatment for interns.
One voice. One demand. One united front. ✊

From 31st August, MBBS & BDS interns across J&K stand united for our rightful stipend.
This is not about a single college or a few individuals—it is a collective movement. After months of efforts, delegations and repeated representations, this is the time to remain united.
We don’t complain about the sleepless nights or the workload—we accept them because patients need us. But ₹12,300 a month for this level of responsibility is simply unjust.
MBBS interns have waited long enough. We demand a fair stipend.

They save lives at 3 AM.
They run toward emergencies while the rest of us run away. They carry the weight of patients’ survival on shoulders barely out of medical school, through sleepless nights, relentless wards, and responsibilities no salary reflects.
And for all this, paid 12300 a month. MBBS interns have waited long enough. @CM_JnK must fulfil their demands at earliest.
Raised this issue months ago. Today, 28 August, there is still no concrete response from the J&K Government regarding the long-pending MBBS internship stipend revision.
31 August is approaching. We need action, not silence.

“Our doctors are among the best in the world.” We appreciate these words, Hon’ble CM. But world-class healthcare starts with valuing the doctors who are serving patients today.
MBBS interns in J&K continue to await a long-pending stipend revision to ₹30,000/month, despite emerg.duties, night shifts and patient care responsibilities.
If we want “reverse brain drain,” let’s first stop pushing young doctors away through neglect and administrative silence.
Despite admitting certain errors, affected students continue to suffer.
NBEMS must take responsibility, ensure transparency, and provide fair relief to every candidate affected.
Enough excuses. We demand accountability.

NBEMS, why do “technical glitches” repeatedly affect NEET-PG/FMGE candidates?
Exam cities and centres are changed without clear justification, with candidates sometimes allotted cities far away from their preferred choices or even from where they reside.
A meal nearly turned into a tragedy when a man began choking on an egg at a restaurant. Thankfully, his quick-thinking friends acted immediately and saved his life.
A timely reminder: staying calm and knowing basic first aid can make all the difference.
