Pakistan’s sovereignty was the real casualty when Imran Khan was removed and replaced with Shehbaz Sharif, a corrupt leader aligned with foreign interests over national dignity.
This isn’t about personalities, it’s about a pattern. When leaders in the Global South pursue independent foreign policy, they face pressure, isolation, or worse. Pakistan is just the latest example.
A government that echoes external talking points instead of reflecting the will of its people risks losing legitimacy at home and credibility abroad.

The Qur’an is clear about justice, fulfilling trusts, and standing firmly against oppression, those principles apply to everyone. Invoking faith to justify control, displacement, or unequal rights misses the core message. This isn’t about religion vs. religion, it’s about justice vs. injustice in the present.

Facts don’t exist in a vacuum. Yes, withdrawals happened, but so did continuous settlement expansion, land fragmentation, and entrenchment in the West Bank before and after 2005. Gaza “disengagement” didn’t end control,it shifted its form. You can’t point to selective pullbacks while ignoring long-term policies on the ground. If it’s truly “peace not land,” then why does the footprint keep growing where it matters most?

This is cherry-picked history at its finest. Sinai was returned under a formal peace treaty,.completely different context. Gaza “withdrawal” still left it under blockade. Lebanon exit wasn’t charity, it was pressure. Meanwhile, settlements in the West Bank keep expanding every year. Offering fragmented land under control isn’t real peace, it’s control dressed up as compromise. Calling concern about “greater Israel” nonsense while ignoring facts is willful blindness.

I wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Arif Alvi’s statement regarding Qasim Khan Suri. He is, without question, a man of rare courage, conscience, & moral clarity. History will remember that at a critical moment, he stood firm and helped avert what could have been the murder of Imran Riaz Khan,an act that goes far beyond politics. In essence, it was a stand for humanity itself. To save one innocent life is to save all of humanity.
I say this with great pride, Qasim Khan Suri is not only a towering public figure, but also a dear friend. I deeply respect and fully support his choice to earn an honest, halal living through hard work & dignity, solely to provide for his family & secure the education and future of his children.
