Really is a tough call.
On one hand - every Nobel prize winning economist is adamantly stating that Harris has a significantly better economic plan
But on the other hand - the dumbest people I’ve ever interacted with say Trump is a good businessman
Quite the dilemma
Applications for our #tenuretrack#biomechanics search must be submitted by tomorrow November 4!
Don’t miss out on the chance to work with me at @texastech!

I’m searching for my next rockstar PhD student @UCF_Kinesiology! Join @UCF_CNSlab in sunny Orlando ☀️ where we work hard but laugh at our failures along the way. Future work will primarily focus on neuromuscular aging and disuse.
Repeat after me: “Zone 2 alone won’t take you there”…
28 years ago I started using Zone 2 with athletes as I saw in the lab that it was an intensity that improved the most lactate clearance capacity and fat oxidation, both surrogates of mitochondrial function.
However, that was not the only zone that I used, as glycolytic intensities like Z4 and 5 are key for athletic performance.
In all these years working with hundreds of elite athletes from so many sports, I have NEVER seen an athlete who would just get to the top with Z2 training alone…
High intensity, glycolytic training is absolutely necessary for competitive athletes as this is the intensity where the magic happens…
These stubborn hills in the Basque Country are perfect as without much mental effort you are right there in your Z4, stimulating both glycolytic and strength capacities 😉

@DrAndyGalpin I’ve always been so shocked by the number of people easily falling asleep after 8am on flights. And this is coming from mom of two who didn’t get to sleep through the night for a solid 1.5 yrs thanks to kid 2.
Exploring exerkines: Lactate, a byproduct of muscle contraction, emerges as a potential mediator in muscle-brain communication. High-intensity exercise, eliciting lactate production, may hold promise for mental health promotion. #Exerkines
