@wongmjane Seems like the most sensible option. Quickly spun up, needs to do one job, and bearing in mind they’re going out of business, likely built with little budget or by someone who doesn’t have a job today.
Legend of the Seas has started her sea trials! 🗞️
Over the next 10 days, Legend will push her engines to the limit across 2,400 nautical miles with over 2,000 engineers and specialists on board – one of the last few major milestones ahead of her debut in July.
@TheRedbirdWay@beyoncegarden They wouldn’t alert every phone. The same phone has to be in constant contact with an AirTag for a couple of days and move with it for a specific amount of time to class as it being tracked. It may alert phones in staterooms nearby however.
@Shaddai_001@uiux_harshit Agreed. Not to poke holes in the human design, it’s good, but less is more and the Claude one wins on that front. And that’s before we look at cost and time to build it.
@jwegener I had this idea about 15 years ago but didn’t possess the skills to build it. About 25 years ago I thought wouldn’t it be cool to be able to crowdsource everyone’s photos from the same location. How many holiday snaps are you in the background of? Facebook could have built that.
@idlewildgirl ❤️ Idlewild. Was once lucky enough to interview Roddy. I was early for the interview and the guy on the door said “oh just go through and wait”. And I walked into them starting their sound check. Got a private 5 song gig where I was the only person in the crowd.
@boneherguy@benwehrman Came here to say this. Space is huge. It’s like if you look at a map of ships on the Pacific Ocean it looks like there’s vessels everywhere and you’d easily bump into one. The reality is you would barely see anything for days and weeks as you sailed across.
@akash0160@PicturesFoIder Because its a) deeper than you think and b) cruise ships have much less draught than you’d imagine. Only about 10m of height under the water.
@Tablesalt13 Before you all start with your bat shit conspiracy theories, go watch Mentour Pilots livestream on YouTube from this afternoon. His theory for why they didn’t stop is far more plausible then some of the suggestions on this thread.
@IAmTheKimmel@wanglaurentceo The whole post is AI slop. ChatGPT isn’t very good with what year it is. Once you realise most posts on this platform is AI, it really changes how useful it is.
@nypost Axes “Freedom of the Seas cruises from Miami” would be a better headline. Icon class headed up by Hero of the Seas will be continuing to sail every week from Miami in 2027.
