You will be your most productive, your most effective, not when you’re working all the time, not when you’re putting in the most hours, but when you’re balanced physically, spiritually, and emotionally. If you neglect one area, it will lessen what you could accomplish.
Every season is not a growing season. Every season is not a harvest. There are seasons of watering, planting, pulling up the weeds, and fertilizing. Are you doing the right thing when you’re not seeing growth? Have faith and patience.
You must not be afraid of your uniqueness and you must care less and less what people think of you. You have no responsibility to live up to what other people think you ought to accomplish. I have no responsibility to be like they expect me to be.
We should not label exercises as good and bad. Instead think more of them as appropriate or inappropriate for the current state of the patient. This includes sensitivity, motivation, access to equipment, tissue and stage of recovery.
"Corrective exercise" is a bit of a garbage term. Just about any exercise can be corrective if it happens after an assessment verifies that it can be coached and loaded appropriately - and in sufficient volume - to create an adaptation.
@mobilitywod@CraigLiebenson I see all sides to this because is it part of current life or the life of our ancestors who lived a more active and less sedentary lifestyle. And we as movement professionals of all kinds know that dysfunction precedes pain so asymptomatic doesnt mean there's not dysfunction.
Anger and aggression sometimes seem to be protective because they bring energy to bear on a particular situation, but that energy is blind. It takes a calm mind to be able to consider things from different angles and points of view.
