Teachers, principals, curriculum developers - what message are we sending our students? How much does our curriculum reflect those we’re teaching? #OwnVoices#DisruptTexts#CARBTE
@Pat_Iniguez @MVPmath@openupresources How about it being the test, not just a question. Allow students to communicate their learning in any form. Poster, essay, PowerPoint, foldable, vlog, and countless other mediums.
@MrsSasser Last year I switched from “what questions do you have?” To “talk with your partner about what you understand and a question you still have and be prepared to share with the whole class.” This has helped my classroom culture and students’ metacognition skills.
My 13 year old daughter has talked for several years about how much she loved her 5th grade teacher. I asked her what she liked about her. Her response: “She liked US!” So simple… yet so profound. Kids gravitate to the teachers that like them. They can tell.
