@ASU#HigherEd grad program ranked among top 20 in the field by US News for the first time in at least 8 years! Big ups @YngBlkScholar@okuje @LKDippold https://t.co/ICWmyRnxz1
@mattwitenstein @christinayao Yes (w/caveat that govt stats are pretty unreliable): Ethiopia’s economy has historically been mainly agrarian w/small entrepreneurs. Now it’s experiencing major disruptions from war. Coupled w concerns about HEI quality, job market for new college grads is very tough
What motivates for profit university students to transfer? Here's a brief summary of what Rutgers' brilliant Thomas Zimmerman & I found when we interviewed some of them https://t.co/l0k2I5FZyK
Huge thank you to the #Ethiopian Ministry of Labor & Skills for everything they do to improve TVET students’ job market preparation & career success.👏

#Kefeta aims to strengthen the capacity of #Ethiopian higher education institutions (HEIs) to support #economic and social opportunities for local #youth. This week we had the privilege to meet some of the professionals who will be helping us create these exciting opportunities!
We're going to #Ethiopia!! ✈️🇪🇹
The ASU #Kefeta team will be in Addis Ababa from July 4th - July 14th, 2022 for the official launch of the Ethiopian Higher Education and TVET Alliance.
#Follow us for photos & updates about the upcoming events!
Through Kefeta, we will be working hand-in-hand over the next five years with two million of Ethiopia’s youth to amplify their voices and their role in community development, in order to address the growing unemployment gap across the country that youth face.
Still out here working, writing, & grinding. My article "Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Navigating Institutional Barriers as a Graduate Student with a Criminal Record" is now out with the journal of #AmericanBehavioralScientist https://t.co/UrBACxbnUB
Another great story from @WSJ re outrageous debt loads that many grad students (in this case law) take on, especially from private schools, with very low chances of getting a sufficiently high paying job after https://t.co/HIoQSoj5C3
No words for bravery, generosity, strength & selflessness of @MiamiBeachFire@MiamiDadeFire. I was privileged to work w/them last year, just across street from #ChamplainTowersSouth, distributing food w/@david4florida. this report just confirms what I knew already. God bless💔
NEW: In a victory for college athletes, SCOTUS unanimously invalidates a portion of the NCAA's "amateurism" rules. The court says the NCAA can no longer bar colleges from providing athletes with education-related benefits such as free laptops or paid post-graduate internships.
@BradleyDeanC@JusTerryJr totally agree! And your invaluable work on national, state, and institutional policy context for system-impacted students helps to dispel many of the myths that are out there
Colleges are eliminating sports teams in response to #COVID19 shortfalls – and runners and golfers are paying more of a price than football or basketball players.
