@BuzzPatterson I'm a little puzzled. I've gone to dozen of concerts, but never had someone else convince me to attend a concert I didn't already want to go to. My most-disappointing concert was one where I went to see the warm-up band. *They* did great, but the main band was pretty lame.

@WeegieBored1 If anyone paid attention to the last 20 years, there are many conflicts which are dramatically more tragic than Gaza, particularly in African countries. Or Yemen, for that matter. But if it's Arabs killing Arabs or Blacks killing Blacks, then no one (including Mamdani) cares.

@seanonolennon @kevinolearytv Huh! I wouldn't put "Houses of the Holy" near the top in any list of albums. Certainly it's a fine album, but I don't think of it as even the most-impactful album from Led Zeppelin.

@kevinolearytv Easy to agree on "Revolver", "Dark Side", "Let it Bleed". One thing I'd note is that these were all albums where people would go out and bigger-and-better stereo systems *just* to listen to them. These albums didn't just sell vinyl, they sold high-end stereo equipment!

@NateSilver538 Maybe their reasoning is not what you expect. If *I* had a choice between a guaranteed $50,000 or a 50% chance of winning a million, I'd look at what happened to some grand-prize jackpot winners and think "I'm less likely to destroy my life with a free $50K than with $500K". 🙂

Most are teenagers and young adults.

Every morning I write about someone Iran just executed, within minutes, a message arrives a mother, a sister, a friend, begging me to write about their loved one who is on the death row. Before it's too late.

This is why I want to write before the execution of this young woman, not after. Arghavan Fallahi. 24 years old. Evin Prison. Sentenced to death.

Judge Salavati one of Iran's most notorious hanging judges, sentenced her under "Baghi," armed rebellion.

During months in solitary confinement, she was subjected to severe psychological torture and pressure to make forced confessions. But she refused. So they sentenced her to death anyway.

Fellow female prisoners who were with Arghavan inside Evin say her situation is urgent. The torture has left her with severe psychological trauma and physical illness. She is not just facing the death sentence, she is suffering right now, inside that cell. But is still alive and is still time to save her life.

Please join me and help us Iranians to say her name now and demand international community and the leader leaders of the world to put pressure on these that republic to stop them from executing her and other political prisoners.
