Last year, my students heavily criticised secularism in a presentation trading it off with diversity and inclusion in my class. I was dumbfounded and sweated in my silence. I need to be ready to convince my students how anti-secularism is like the rising co2 of climate change.

@famkezz @YasMohammedxx When you grow up in a "gezellig country, far from war, conflict, genocide, authoritarianism, sharia law, lack of justice, etc." (ie., social privilege). It could happen to anyone living in societally privileged places. I need to show a different side of the story. Thanks! :)

@N_A_worldwide They focused on France/Macron specifically and discrimination against Muslim minorities in schools. Good, convincing example, but from one country example or one group's perspective to concluding secularism is bad is a huge stretch, right?
