@seanstidston What probably helped significantly was having a very supportive network of friends who advocated for her and helped her raise money. You rarely hear of someone without a strong support system recovering. And now she's even riding in private jets. She is extremely fortunate. Wow.
@seanstidston She rallied so many people behind her--many of whom also suffered from LC--who donated to help her (even though she was already rich). It sure would've been nice had she shared with her supporters what treatments made the biggest dent, altho most ppl probably couldn't afford it.
@Gill_Gross Surprised to see this from you. It doesn't make sense to compartmentalize & communicate conflicting messages here vs your podcast. Neutral on X is one thing, but there's no upside to such congratulatory remarks other than to fit in w/ your likewise disappointing mainstream peers.
@Djoko_UTD Zverev does not deserve respect just because he has diabetes and started a foundation. Many, many wealthy people set up foundations, and it's primarily for the tax breaks. Most are not doing it for altruistic purposes. https://t.co/LvHLTyP9w7
@BiologyAwesome@waltz_tales Could be suicide for Marjane and her husband. Friends probably think Marjane's sadness caused her to end her life, so "dying of sadness" is their chosen euphemism. Possibly covid infections caused damage that lowered suicidal threshold, but it's hard to speculate w limited info.
@TNTSportsUS@AndreAgassi I appreciate Agassi's candor, but sometimes people just get sick, and for the most part, there's no ratio of carbs to protein or level of hydration that will prevent illness.
@TennisTribune02@astuaryking@jagswim1@BarclayCard18 "You need to give someone the benefit of the doubt and not just jump to conclusions" <-- What makes Zverev deserve the benefit of the doubt but not his accuser? Why jump to the conclusion that the accuser is a liar?
