How do you weigh the psychological value of being debt free? Also at what interest rate, if any, do you think the argument for paying off the house starts to make sense. Where I stay it's 8% mortgage rate so i'm seeing that as a risk free return which feels hard to beat in the current market (given AI risk/ bubble concerns etc)

@northwoods1980 I think a big part of the problem is that everyone is an armchair radiologist and no one is an armchair pathologist. 🫠

Advise that someone look very closely for endometriosis.

This is missed so frequently and the presentations are varied and often seem random. I generally advise they see an expert as well as some gynes are also pretty bad at making this diagnosis.

If they can afford it a pelvic MRI is the way to go. I’ve even chatted to one or two patients directly to ask what’s going on and sometimes their symptoms are quite classic.

Out of interest, would you rather have a normal dual source scanner or a single source photon counting machine?

@KCKlatt A big part of the problem is that there’s no compensation for the time involved. Most clinicians have very little incentive to take on this extra responsibility on top of already busy schedules, and the whole system has relied for far too long on prestige and goodwill.
