If you don't vote, I don't want to hear you ever complain about any of the filth, crime, or decline in LA again. Get off your butt and VOTE, or enjoy what you get.
🚨 SPACEX JUST GOT FAA APPROVAL TO TEST ITS NEW “STARFALL” CAPSULES.
These are not regular reentry vehicles.
SpaceX’s new circular Starfall capsules are designed to bring up to 1,000 kg of payload back from orbit safely, repeatedly, and at scale.
They can launch on either Falcon 9 or Starship, perform in-space manufacturing, then reenter and splash down in the Pacific for rapid recovery.
Why this matters:
• Enables true commercial in-space manufacturing (microgravity + vacuum) that can be returned to Earth
• Could become a “proliferated successor” to the ISS for self-sustaining space industry
• Opens the door to rapid point-to-point cargo delivery from orbit to anywhere on Earth
• Directly competes with companies like Varda that have been flying similar missions on SpaceX rockets
The deeper implication is massive:
We are moving from “occasional experiments in space” to routine manufacturing and logistics in orbit.
If Starfall works at scale, companies could build factories in space, produce high-value materials that can’t be made on Earth, and ship them back down regularly all without needing a full space station.
This is one of the clearest steps yet toward a real, self-sustaining commercial space economy.
What do you think will in-space manufacturing finally become a serious industry, or is this still too early?

JENSEN HUANG SAID THAT ELON MUSK WAS THERE FOR HIM AS A CUSTOMER AT A TIME WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS.
AND HE CLAIMED THAT ELON MUSK IS THE ORIGINAL FOUNDER OF OPENAI AND CHATGPT.
“WHEN I ANNOUNCED THIS PROJECT, NO ONE IN THE WORLD WANTED IT. I DIDN’T HAVE A SINGLE PURCHASE ORDER. NO ONE WANTED TO BUY IT, NO ONE WANTED TO BE PART OF IT, EXCEPT ELON. HE WAS THERE AT THE EVENT, AND WE WERE ENGAGED IN A FIRESIDE DISCUSSION ABOUT THE FUTURE OF SELF-DRIVING CARS.”
@xai hi one of my employee’s grok seems to have a virus in the projects section for a link to a “love / sex site” we haven’t used the grok for anything like this and cannot delete the “virus” project. I have submitted a request through the affected app. Help!!
Doug Ellin, creator of the hit show 'Entourage,' is disgusted by LA's decline in recent years and says he publicly supports Spencer Pratt in his campaign for LA mayor.
Ellin's Beverly Hills home was burglarized by masked intruders, and he shares that while 5 years ago he didn't have to lock his door, now he has "15 cameras," "2 German Shepherds," and "3 legal guns."
"I know they were animals because they invaded my house. I know I don't care what their excuses are, like a lot of you f*cking care. I know invaders of homes should get 20 years...Everyone in my neighborhood has got the same problem: they're f*cking all putting cameras and high-end security guards because we're all getting broken into. It's not made up, it's not false, and this city has collapsed in the last 5 years. There is no f*cking denying it unless you have an agenda, and I don't know what that is," Ellin says.
"But, you say, 'Oh, Spencer Pratt has no experience!'...What experience did Karen Bass have?...We want to fix this place because we don't want to be forced out. I'm one of the people who made this city look great! I did it for years. I glorified it. I meet people all the time that moved here because of the show that I f*cking created—and they hate it here now. HATE!"
Ellin's comments appear to be, at least in part, directed at the LA Times, who recently published an article, "L.A. is safer than it's been in decades, but crime is an issue dominating the mayor's race."
For his part, Pratt shared Ellin's video to his Instagram Story last week. Safety has been the central theme of Pratt's mayoral campaign.
If you spend JUST one hour per day actually using AI to build something real, within 90 days you will be in the top 1% of people who understand what is happening. The bar is still shockingly low.
The reason most people never start building is the quiet assumption that someone smarter is already working on it, not a lack of skills or capital. Let me tell you, those 'smarter' people are usually not.
Wow. 1,000 University of California professors signed an open letter to the Board of Regents demanding they bring back standardized testing after it was removed during covid for equity.
They reveal that many STEM students are BELOW Middle School level in Math!
“The SAT mathematics requirement is not an obstacle to equity; rather, it is a prerequisite for it. Failing to measure preparation gaps does not remove barriers; it moves them into the classroom, where they become harder to overcome.”
Dear Professor,
I am not buying the SpaceX IPO, because I do believe in a merger of equals with Tesla to be announced this year.
I did however study the S-1 in much more detail than you, obviously.
The Danish Akademikerkasse is politically motivated and has stopped investing in Tesla a year ago. They can be ignored by smart retail investors.
BYD is not crushing Tesla, quite the opposite, look at numbers in China, then look at profitability.
While you are at profitability, look at Waymo's.
I had hoped that educated leaders of this world would do just this: thorough research. If you brag with your titles in the profile, you have some responsability.
With my lost respect,
Alexandra Merz
