@tomhfh@EngineerLondon Spiteful? No. The bare minimum of historically significant features were saved, leaving the IoD sterile and free of character. 2 miles away, a similar zone has resulted in a £billion ghost town of soulless unused offices that no one wants.

@icantgetnosleep@EngineerLondon Since closing in 1984 it’s bankrupted about 5 different developers, who were going to make a theme park, then office complex, a shopping centre, host to an eco-tower, a hotel, a power station (again) and then finally to its current form. It’s a miracle it survived at all.
@EngineerLondon That’s pretty a comprehensive list of problems that’s going to take some considered thought and reflection to sort out.

@CommunityFibre Update. The client “reached out” for a 2nd time, and was offered an appt on tuesday, 9 days earlier than the “earliest time” originally offered. Why this want offered in the 1st place isn’t clear. Miraculously, Today it started working again. A full 1.1Gb/s up &down. 🤔
A friend of mine has been with @CommunityFibre for a week. It’s failed and they have been told that the earliest someone can attend is just over 2 weeks from now.
Anyone wanting to know how little your ISP gives a shit about you watch this space as we try to escalate this fault.
@TheDanProsser Later the better. If you’re 6’2” or more I recommend getting a firm grip of the handbrake lever and bending it an inch to the left. Your comfort will increase dramatically. Also, go to @BBRGTi and get the exhaust manifold and a light tune. It’ll absolutely transform it.

Petty? Maybe, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. And for me, the adverts are an intolerable intrusion.
