If you don’t vote, I will consider you an enemy of mine and of the public. I promise that I will never engage with you again on a personal level. You will be shunned. I *will* ask. There are no excuses any more. RT if you make the same promise.
Driving through a city SHOULD be inconvenient if you're driving at the same time as everyone else.
Space is limited, and motor vehicles take up a ton of space, and over time they keep getting bigger.
Autobesity is a burden on everyone.
Me stepping up to the microphone at a local community meeting where the residents are already losing their collective minds over the removal of three parking spots:
@TheGr8Historian@the_transit_guy This is BS. My grandmother as a teenager had rail access from her rural home to Pittsburgh 50 miles away in 2 hours including the 1.5 mile walk to the station. She could go anywhere from there. Still there when my mother was a teen, it was gone when I was a teen. Still 2h by car.
So, to be clear: Flock admitted that it repackages and sells private data *even when* there’s a data retention agreement in place with a law enforcement agency. And this has already happened, here.
It’s an untrustworthy, scammy company. That sells mass surveillance.
Dozens of cities are cancelling Flock contracts — but too many are replacing them with surveillance agreements that could be ever worse.
Axon and Motorola are both in the Automatic License Plate Reader business, making cameras that track vehicles.
Axon already has deals with 85% of police departments because of its body cam business, but now it's expanding further into mass surveillance and license plate readers.
They're also getting into facial recognition, AI, and a massive integrated database with very little oversight.
5/ In 2026, Americans privacy rights are being attacked from all sides.
Organizations that defend them are stretched thin.
But if the Flock moment is missed, privacy fights are going to look a lot harder once companies like Flock get locked in.
The world is 700% richer than in 1970 but the average person is only 8% richer.
Because the richest 0.01% are 4000% richer.
We are all being robbed every second of every day, and it doesn't matter how much profit or growth there is.
It will never reach you.
Imagine the amount of propaganda it took to convince millions of people that healthcare, food assistance, social programs, clean water, clean air, good wages, housing, equal rights, diversity and a healthy planet for all people was somehow a threat to America and to Christianity.
I miss when “going into the office” meant actual collaboration. Now it’s mandated presence so managers can feel useful while the real work still happens on the same screens you already have at home. They didn’t bring people back for productivity. They brought them back for control.
Your daily reminder that California will be losing representation in Congress and the Electoral College because we don’t build housing.
Anyone standing in the way of building housing in this state is handing Republicans the future of the nation
