Billy was one of my best friends.

I’ve always kept this account fully anonymous. I wanted to be able to put my thoughts into the world with complete freedom and not have it affect my personal life. Well, that ship has sailed.

If I can get even one more person to say Billy’s name by using the reach and relationships I’ve built over the years on this account, I’m required to do it.

Billy is everything that makes this country great. A hard working, genuine, stand up human being. Everyone who’s ever been around him can attest to it.

He always talked about the future. His goals. Where he wanted to end up in life and what kind of man he was striving to be.

It sickens me that he was robbed of the opportunity to pursue his destiny of becoming a great husband and father.

The force that took him can only be described as pure evil.

Please share his story, remember his name, and hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. Do whatever you can to leave a positive dent in the universe. No matter how small.

Please pray for his family during this time.

Tonight @GoCamels made an unexpected and heartbreaking announcement to the amazing young men of @GoCamelsWrestle. @campbelledu administration decided to gut the nationally ranked wrestling program next year. They want to cut from 9 to 3 scholarships. They further plan to pressure these young men to leave by not allowing scholarship athletes to compete on the team. Campbell wrestling exemplifies the original mission of Campbell University. This team consistently takes young men, many from difficult backgrounds, and turns them into men of character who contribute to the community. For the last decade, we have consistently been a ranked program and @D1Taye made AA last year. Moreover, this is a further problem with @NCAA. These sorts of decisions are killing @Olympics sports and the spirit of what it means to be a student athlete. Please #WrestlingCommunity , pray for Campbell Wrestling. We are the best of Campbell. Make your voices heard with @hbaze16 and @GoCamels . We cannot let another one of us fall. For the first time since 2019, @TCNJ_Wrestling will bring an NCAA Individual Championship back to Ewing!

Sacco defeated Noah Leisgang of Wisconsin La Crosse, 2-1, to claim the NCAA DIII 165 Pound Title.
