Thank you so much, Adam. Yes! Seeing that 'golden thread' of God’s promises woven throughout Scripture truly does testify to its divine authorship. One unified story, from Genesis to Revelation, of God’s plan to redeem and restore all things. Only God could have orchestrated something so beautiful.
We’re called to take up our cross, put our hand to the plow, and not look back—and if we do, per Jesus, we’re “not fit to serve in the Kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62, CJB). The upside in the “upside-down” Kingdom is that God puts our suffering to redemptive use. It also makes sense of our suffering, when we view life through the lens of the Scriptures. How did the patriarchs, prophets, and apostles handle the issues of deep and profound pain in light of the “good news”? @quicklikesand is joined by Stephen Holmes and @reedsmith36, the director of @49tenfilms’ latest, ‘Sojourners & Exiles’ for a vibrant discussion surveying these questions and more.

Eschatology drives discipleship. Everybody has an eschatology, and this eschatology is a huge driver of everything else about one’s faith. Dig deeper into biblical eschatology with this article by Dr. John Harrigan (@jharrigan77).

The Apocalyptic Gospel Podcast
Season 3, Episode 26
The Pre-Exilic Prophets and the Projection of the Covenant
In this episode we discuss the minor prophetic books of Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah. As we’ve seen already in the other prophetic books from Isaiah to Amos, the themes of covenant discipline in light of eschatological hope are highlighted repeatedly throughout. Each book has its own particular emphasis and angle, but the covenantal cycle from Deuteronomy 28-30 is always presumed, and this cycle is pushed to its ultimate end by later apocalyptic writers and the authors of the New Testament.

"Israel reveals the hearts of men, and Jerusalem will sift the nations."
The controversy surrounding the Jewish people and the land of Israel is not new, and it's not over. But the end is certain.
The nations will one day flow to Jerusalem to learn the ways of Israel's God.
Finalized the cover for my forthcoming book "Gospel of the Skull Crusher: The Gloriously Good News of God's Plan to Fix Everything." Aiming for an early September release.
"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."
(Heb 11:1)
By which he means the assurance of eschatology (cf. 10:34-39). Conviction concerning the coming reward (11:6, 26), the coming city (v. 10, 16), the coming homeland (v. 14), and the better resurrection (v. 35).
Jewish eschatology thus creates hope which is how the saints "preserve their souls" (10:39).
For those interested, here's the article on Matt 12:28. Hopefully this will help the church someday move on from the nonsense of realized eschatology.

...when [God's appointed King] is sitting on the throne of his kingdom, then he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll before the Levitical priests...
He shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to revere Yahweh your God...
- Deuteronomy 17
This is a very powerful documentary that I was a part of recently. It is one of the most provoking films I have ever seen. Honored to participate in it.
