@junipertierson@amyforsandiego Dead wrong. I've lived on a street that started off as single-family housing, then everyone started renting out back houses, and I think one very small apartment building. The parking was atrocious, the noise was atrocious, and I would NEVER again live on a street like that.
@amyforsandiego So what if "empty nesters" have a couple of extra bedrooms? Maybe they like having an office space or extra storage or a guest room for kids when they visit, and maybe an outside garden. What business is it of anyone to try to shame them for enjoying their own personal space??
As someone who lost her job of 30 years *directly* due to the Democrats of California, I am happy to see that it looks like a Republican candidate for governor will make it to the ballot. I like Bianco, but I hope he will throw his support to Hilton. And sorry, L.A. for Bass.
Good work, agents, deputies, and others. From what I recall, the Otay Mesa area is well known for this kind of smuggling.

@rcasonr@RepNancyMace Seems like the priority should be that last part: control the border and shut down illegal immigration. Then birthright citizenship wouldn't be a big issue in the first place.
@RonDeSantis Please clarify whether you are talking about eliminating birthright citizenship for children born to people who entered illegally, or to everyone born here. I'm very uncomfortable with this concept in general, and I think there are alternatives when addressing illegal entry.
@bkru@BrentScher@lukerosiak@NationalDebt Sorry, but that's a utopian outlook, not reality. My dad had malnutrition during the Depression. The older kids never made it past 3rd grade. Church (where my grandma played piano on Sundays) did not help. Even "extended family" which included someone very wealthy did not help.
@bodytalkman@DrNeilStone You should ask my former neighbors whether they would kill for that vaccine, as their 15-year-old daughter died from cervical cancer before this vaccine was developed.
@ATTYBYCHOICE@christopherrufo I LOVE the idea of solar. However, until the technology is developed that addresses problems like this, it shouldn't have been rushed into practice so rapidly, so aggressively, and on such a large scale.
Salespeople from one of the companies in this article have been very aggressively canvassing my single-family-home neighborhood. If you say no to one, another one comes back.

@World_Avenger17@CollinRugg Google "FTB Form 568" and you can see why. Written in Martian language, & anyone who can fill this thing out without breaking into tears is stronger than I am. (Many now have to do this thanks to @Democrats of CA and their vile #AB5.) (Same as vile #PROAct.) cc: @SenFettermanPA
I could be misunderstanding this, but I'd love to see a ballot with NO Steyer, NO Becerra, and NO Porter anywhere on it. Just Hilton and Bianco. Anyway, here's an article that talks about how it works: https://t.co/hTfamb2Nvj
CA governor election: As I understand it, voting for either Hilton or Bianco *for the primary* would work for R voters. In fact, if Bianco's poll numbers go down to below second place, bring them back up, because then you have 2 Republicans on the November ballot & NO Democrats.
@worked_over@StigmaB47868@Cooperdavis I went through something similar w/what I thought was a mild antidepressant. When I told my doctor I was discontinuing it, he didn't warn about withdrawal. It was one of the scariest things I've ever been through. My current doctor told me I'm lucky I didn't end up hospitalized.
