This right here was the turning point in the GOAT debate, and it perfectly sums up the Ronaldo vs. Messi dynamic.
There is a fundamental asymmetry in how both sides operate. Ronaldo fans are generally content with their preference; they back their man and leave it at its that. But engaging with the typical Messi fan feels entirely different, there is a distinct, missionary smugness to it.
To them, supporting Ronaldo isn't just a differing opinion; it’s treated as an intellectual failure, a literal scandal. Their arrogance doesn't stop at mere preference; it’s a collective superiority complex that actively seeks to manufacture a narrative and enforce it as absolute truth.
That’s why the narrative surrounding the 2022 World Cup felt so hollow. The overwhelming sentiment, even from the footballing hierarchy, was that Messi "deserved" a World Cup. But nobody deserves anything in sports, especially when what previously held you back wasn't injury, but your own failure on the pitch.
Once the sport decided a player "deserved" a specific outcome, the integrity of the game took a backseat. It all stems from the immense pity his brief, calculated retirement garnered. That moment sent alarm bells ringing across the Messi fanbase, triggering a frantic need to secure his legacy. Coupled with the existing condescending, righteous rage of a fanbase that believes their icon is untouchable, it completely altered the dynamic; transforming them from sports fans into political or religious zealots enforcing a dogma.
Thankfully people are waking up to it. 🙏🏾
the best part of plane travel is that they are one of the last frontiers of our world that forcibly removes you — even if just for a few hours — from the relentless mindflaying of the compulsion to be terminally online
if you cannot rejoice, let alone survive, a mere 9.5 hours without needing to check your stupid little phone for "work emails" or scroll short-form vertical video content you should throw yourself into the engine of the next plane you board
Watu ambao they bust their asses everyday kuhakikisha ustawi bora wa familia.
Ada, milo mitatu, kodi, ujenzi, miradi, tunatumia jeans moja mwaka now are called selfish.
Aisee 🙌🏼
Is Cristiano Ronaldo the most FORCED GOAT in Sports History?
Never seen someone so obviously not a top 3 candidate but his PR campaign is insane.
Thoughts? Have we seen this level of delusion in other sports…

As much as some people won’t agree, I believe Ronaldo enjoyed playing with players like Nani, Quaresma, and others more than he does with this current set of players. It’s not necessarily because they were better, but because they understood how quickly football should be played.
Bruno, Vitinha, and João Neves are arguably among the best players in their positions on paper, yet they failed to create anything meaningful in 90 minutes. Somehow, Ronaldo ends up being blamed, just moving the ball around and Romancing it.
If it were Haaland, the narrative would be that he lacked service. But when it’s Ronaldo, he’s suddenly the problem. Meanwhile, the guy was making the runs, but the ball simply wasn’t getting to him.
I’ll keep saying it, a lot of you need to decenter that Instagram lavish way of life, so you can start thinking like normal humans.
You are a Nigerian , living in Nigeria, no special
talent or skill , fuel is 1300+, rent is skyrocketing everywhere, minimum wage is less than 100k. Trust me you are closer to being homeless than driving that 2025 gle.
Exhibit 12795739 of how "online gist" is ruinung your real life.
The average young person does not think about the information they filter into their mind.
For instance, if we ask how many specific instances of men running away on dates that she has seen with ner eyes, or heard from someone that she personally knows offline, and the answer is likely to be much closer to zero.
Thus, a scenario that has likely not happened to anyone in her circle and statistically will not happen had her reacting in a certain manner.
And this is not even her fault or make her a bad person.
It's simply the effect of being too online.
You don't know it, but you are being drawn into battles you have no business fighting, and then take it home to your partner or family and start misbehaving.
Here's an example, how many times have you thought of your partner coming to your place and doing chores in the last 48 hours?
Why didn't you think of it last week?
You see my point now.
If you are not careful, nonsense talk on social media will ruin your life.
Take heed what you listen to.
I keep telling people that a lot of you still don’t understand what “big club” actually means. Success comes and goes, trophies come and go, but size is something completely different.
When Manchester United start winning the league again, that’s when you’ll truly see what global support, attention and noise look like. The whole football world will be forced to pay attention. The motion will be on a different level entirely.
Some clubs are successful, some clubs are great, but very few are genuinely massive. That’s why even after years without a league title, Manchester United still dominates conversations everywhere.
No disrespect, but even Real Madrid no big reach Manchester United when it comes to global attention and moving the football world. When United rise again, una go finally understand the difference between successful and BIG. 😂
Nenda Rwanda halafu utasema masikini ana ustaarabu au hana.
Ustaarabu ni msingi muhimu sana (prerequisite) wa maendeleo. Moja ya changamoto ya maendeleo yetu Tanzania ni Swahili civilization. Corrupt, lazy, uncultured, uncouth, and unprogrammed.
Hauwezi kufanya maendeleo kama huna uniform population to certain extent. People who share values, principles and ideals and are willing to stand for and defend them.
Hapa kwetu kila kitu ni random, look at how corrupt we are as a society, bodaboda anavuka taa nyekundu, daladala linasimama barabarani nje ya kituo, raia anamaliza maji anatupa chupa chini, serikali haijengi pavement za barabara, masoko yana matope, raia hawapandi miti, think of how random we are behaving from top down.
That is a typical civilizational issue. We must fix that with laws, punishment and everything in between.
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.
@FrankFedric Na ni haki yao. Kila mtu ana malengo, situations na experiences tofauti. Wewe pima environment yako, uwezo wako, then make decision. Hisa kwa nature yake ni medium to long term investment. Huwezi kuweka hela leo, utegeme return kesho.
