If you are not infuriated about the ongoing Israeli genocide in Palestine and Lebanon, you are either brain dead or has lost your soul and should not pontificate about anything else.
If you post justification for Zionism, fascism and genocide here, you shall be blocked!
PS in charge of internal security Dr. Raymond Omollo always posts sleek and amazing roads, beautiful stadiums the government of H.E @WILLIAMSRUTO built over the years. And Kenyas of roho safi take judicial notice of the good work done. But roads and other infrastructure aren't Dr. Omollo's docket. He is in charge of law and border...to make our streets and neighbourhoods safe and secure. Strangely, you will never see Dr. Omollo post anything meaningful on matters relating to the welfare and security of the citizenry. He knows too well that Boda Boda riders have taken over the streets of Nairobi and many cities, robbing and pillaging at will and without fear. The Westlands incident is the latest instalment of this sad state of insecurity in Nairobi. But such occurrence are many and frequent. So, Dr. Omollo please, leave matters of roads and stadiums to CS Chirchir and CS Mvurya...when will you address the work you are employed and paid for?

Want to truly empower women economically? Start with health, education, and childcare.
At Day 2 of the 3rd International Women’s Economic Empowerment Conference (WEE) at Chuka University, Mr. James Ombogo Onditi (Administration and Finance Manager at the KU-WEE Hub) dropped groundbreaking insights from a localized Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) study conducted right here in Tharaka Nithi County.
The evidence is clear: when we invest in early childhood education—specifically enrolling 3-year-olds into pre-primary school—we don't just educate the next generation. We unlock immediate economic freedom for mothers, giving them the time and health security to pursue business, employment, and personal development.
Mr. Onditi’s core recommendation is a game-changer for policymakers: Better women's health and education by addressing childcare barriers first.
Powerful Message from the Sermon
Rev. Esther Wainaina spoke powerfully on the season of transition as Kenyatta University prepares for new leadership and a new Vice-Chancellor.
“We are entering a new season together. Though changes may come, we refuse to walk into the future with fear. We walk prayerfully, we walk faithfully, and we walk hopefully.”
She reminded us that institutions, like individuals, go through different seasons — planting, stretching, growth, transition, and renewal — and in every season, God remains faithful.
We give thanks for the leaders who have served before us with sacrifice and commitment. As we prepare for new leadership, the question is: What kind of community is God calling us to become? A community of students with integrity, lecturers with passion, leaders who seek wisdom, and a people grounded in God.
Quoting Romans 5, she declared:
“Hope does not disappoint us…” because our hope is not built on the economy, politics, or human systems — our hope is built on God.
The same God who sustained us in the past season will sustain us in the next.
“A new season also requires a new heart. We cannot carry bitterness, spiritual dryness, or hopelessness into what God has ahead.”
This Thanksgiving Service is divine preparation for the next chapter. Let us choose gratitude over complaining, faith over fear, and hope over anxiety.
“The Lord is good. His love endures forever.”
A timely and uplifting word for the entire KU community!

Prof. John Okumu, Ag. Vice-Chancellor, addressed the gathering during the Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service, describing the service as a sacred tradition that marks the end of another academic year — not merely a break before exams, but a special moment for the university community to come together in worship, prayer, and collective gratitude to God for His guidance through challenges and triumphs.
He emphasized the power of unity across diverse faiths and backgrounds, noting that the successes achieved — including welcoming nearly 10,000 new students and graduating thousands — have been possible through collective effort.
Speaking directly to students, Prof. Okumu said:
“Today we celebrate not just the end of the semester, but the faithfulness of God throughout the year. May gratitude remain our song, may hope remain our strength, and may unity remain our foundation.”
He wished students success in the upcoming end-of-semester examinations, urging them to approach their papers with honesty, integrity, and excellence, while rejecting any form of academic malpractice.
A heartfelt and encouraging message as the university community prepares for exams and the transition to the next season.

Big News for Conservation!
We are thrilled to celebrate the successful launch of three landmark publications dedicated to the future of the Cherangany Hills Forest, held on 24th April 2026 at KUCC, Kenyatta University!
Led by Paul K. Muoria and a dedicated team of researchers from Kenyatta University, in partnership with Nature Kenya, KFS, KEFRI, NMK, and the Cherangany Indigenous Peoples, these books provide the scientific and economic blueprint for restoring one of Kenya’s most vital "Water Towers."
The Three Featured Works:Restoration Opportunity Assessment and Mapping (ROAM): A deep dive into the scale of degradation, revealing that 34% of the gazetted forest urgently needs restoration through evidence-based pathways. Ecosystem Services Assessment Report: A comprehensive look at the "hidden" value of the forest—from water for millions and hydroelectric power to carbon sequestration and the preservation of sacred cultural heritage.
The Business Case for Cherangany: A roadmap for sustainable investment, proving that proactive restoration isn't just an environmental must—it’s an economic win for communities and the nation. This project, funded by the Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate (GCBC), bridges the gap between academic research and real-world action. As Prof. Paul Wainaina noted, multi-stakeholder partnerships are the bedrock of sustainable development. Let’s turn science into action!
