One of my all-time favorite type of videos is pre-fame bands playing their extremely famous songs to a tiny room of people, because they're not yet known.
A thread of some examples:
Bastille playing Pompeii in what looks like someone's living room:
#OnThisDay 1991: The Commitments appeared in UK cinemas. Bronagh Gallagher's character dropped the f-bomb so much in the film that, reflecting on its success in 2007, both her and the movie's writers and director thought she was rivalling Joe Pesci in the swearing stakes.
In a bar watching the #UCLfinal Two tourists staying in the small village arrive in. Buy two pints.
Credit card machine down and they have no cash. Like most small villages in rural Ireland, there’s no bank link machine
Not only did 2 lads at the bar counter offer to pay, the barman gave them fifty quid in case they want to buy another few rounds and said they can drop it back in tomorrow
No matter how much this government try to destroy the tourism industry, the people involved in it will always win!!
That’s why we’re the best in the world at it
since we’re all sharing our favorite conan o’brien clips I’d like to bring up paul rudd’s ongoing gag of torturing him with the same clip from mac & me for YEARS
