I'm at https://t.co/3MKHxhZ4RU.whatever on Bluesky. All the cool kids are going there, so figured I'd mention it.
I'll still be here, though. Haven't encountered a single Nazi in my 16 years on this platform, and I usually tweet about sports, so staying here makes sense. 🤷🏼♂️
"But as we know the English historically struggle here in Massachusetts." - @JohnStrong early on in the match
England remains without a goal after 65 minutes...
@scottinphilly@Dodgers@BlueJays My earliest memory is Jack Morris in '91. Then '93, '97, '01, '16, and '25. All in the conversation. I thought the '11 Cardinals were in the mix, but Freese's shenanigans were in Game 6 vs. Rangers. I think '25 is up there, but nothing tops '16.
Will never root for the Dodgers but give them a ton of credit for fighting back repeatedly tonight. An absolutely gutting loss for Toronto that will linger for years and years.
@scottinphilly@Mariners Lots of my favorites Reds players are on that team. Don't really have any animosity toward Toronto, but really wanted Seattle there.
Indiana averaged 4.1 victories a season in the 30 years prior to the arrival of Curt Cignetti. He's is now 16-2 at IU. The only losses -- at Ohio State and at Notre Dame.
Somehow no major program hired this guy until he was 61 years old.
And if you think he's leaving Bloomington, I wouldn't count on it. No need. This is a new era of the sport and the Hoosiers are title contenders.
The rise of Indiana football under Cignetti is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen.
Just getting to a bowl game has long been the ceiling for that program. Then Cignetti comes in, goes to CFP in Year 1, legit top-5 team in Year 2.
That just doesn't happen in CFB.
The Reds did it.
They were left for dead several times this year.
Nick Krall said if there’s one word to describe this group, it’s resilient.
On Tuesday, Hunter Greene takes the ball. He’ll face an incredibly talented team. But with Greene, the Reds enter Game 1 with a real shot.
