Resolution for Editors No. 1: To read every word of a draft before making changes. (Yes, this is hard. But if time permits, a good practice.)

@JayHulmePoet I live in area where the power goes out a few times every year (hurricanes, blizzards) and I do this when I expect an outage so that I have something warm of the power’s still out the next day, it’s very comforting.

@CatieOsaurus I’m usually looking up how the spells I’ve prepared work, which will make me miss things but what’s more useful is taking graphic notes, which are fun to look back on.

@gingerreckoning @CatieOsaurus I take graphic notes, a mixture of doodles and words. The doodles help put me back in the headspace I need to remember and the words help with precision. This might do the opposite of what you need if you tend to get lost in doodling, I find it helps me pay attention but ymmv.
