Our traditional electric water heater is fine, but it draws a pretty heavy load when it runs - and since we're on a demand-based billing plan, that's not a great thing. A HPWH is not only more efficient, but the draw isn't nearly as big.
I don't want a heat pump water heater because I'm a hero. I want one because I'm cheap and I'd like to stop donating my paycheck to the power company. Happy #HPWHDay.

Full disclosure: I'm posting this for a giveaway. Because my hot water heater is a teenager and its main hobby is converting my money directly into lukewarm water at astonishingly low efficiency.
Hey, @GoogleAds! Partner agency here. We recently redeemed points in the Partner Store for swag that turned out to be fraudulent. (That suspiciously cheap 4TB portable SSD? It's actually a 64GB SD card in a trench coat.) Would love to talk to someone when you have a hot sec. Thx!
Absolutely bonkers #aurora just outside Deadwood and Sturgis, South Dakota. Totally insane. I've never seen anything like it.

Also, the worst possible night to have my camera in the shop. 🤦🏼♂️ I sent it off to Canon for cleaning. It's due back tomorrow! In the meantime, night mode on my Pixel 7 wasn't half-bad.
@polarscribe That's one of the things I love about our historic neighborhood in Rapid City. More gentrified than it was, but still a mix of low, moderate, and high-income housing. Kids go to the same schools, dogs walk in the same park.
That's almost impossible in the new developments.
@SenatorRounds@SenSchumer@HouseGOP We all have to pay taxes. Yeah, it's kinda sucky. But you know what would make it less sucky? Not having to sit on hold for more than an hour waiting for an IRS staffer.
Opposing the IRS *seems* like easy political points, but it would just make life suckier for us taxpayers.
