Without the timeless contributions of Adi Shankaracharya and the unbroken Guru Parampara, many who speak so casually today may not even have retained the very civilizational identity they claim. Reverence towards our Acharyas is a hallmark of Sanatana Dharma.

Acharya Nindana is a grave adharma and can never be justified. Irrespective of differences, every Jagadguru deserves the highest respect and dignity.

Pujya Shankaracharya Swamigal launches Kamakoti Triveni Shastra Samutkarsha Kendra at Kanchipuram

Kamakoti Triveni Shastra Samutkarsha Kendra is a premier institution of higher education in Sanskrit offering courses. The traditional streams was blessed and inaugurated by His Holiness Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji and Pujyashri Satya Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamiji in Kanchipuram ( 12 July 2026).
The Kendra will be an Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya of the Central Sanskrit University, supported by Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam charitable Trust and will function at the Bangaru Amman Thottam near Kanchipuram Collectorate.
Various eminent personalities participated in the event and spoke, including Sri Karyam of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Challa Vishwanatha Sastry, Padmashree awardee and chancellor of Shri Chandrashekarendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Professor V Kutumba Sastry, eminent scholar and professor ManiDravid, Mr Sripati, coordinator - Central Sanskrit University, Principal, Dr Aruna Sundaram, faculty members, research scholars and students. There is a subtle difference between a Sannyasi and a Sannyasa Peethadhipati. A Sannyasa Peethadhipati heads a traditional Peetham and has disciples and families associated with that institution who take responsibility for the Guru’s safety, security, and travel. That is why they may travel by car and have an organized entourage.
A Sannyasi, on the other hand, may also have disciples, but since he is not the head of a Peetham, he is generally free to wander according to his own will and way of life.

In June, members of the Koppa Auto Drivers’ and Owners’ Association in the Sringeri Assembly Constituency had darshan of Sringeri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji and submitted an earnest request for an ambulance to facilitate the timely transportation of patients, pregnant women, and accident victims across the hilly region.
In the divine presence and with the gracious blessings of Jagadguru Sri Sannidhanam, a fully equipped ambulance was handed over to the Association today. The Association has assured Sri Sharada Peetham that only a fee sufficient to cover the running expenses will be charged, while the service will be provided free of cost to those in genuine need.

She had the courage to decline the Padma Bushan because she felt she got her recognition 55 years too late. Even South Indians celebrated Asha Bhosle. It's a pity the rest of India didn't get to discover S.Janaki. The lady who recorded 48,000 songs. We'll miss you Janaki Amma. Thank you for the music.
