It was a pleasure to meet with President To Lam and Minister Giang of Vietnam and reinforce our commitment to deepen defense cooperation.
A strong Vietnam makes the region more secure.
🇻🇳 Vietnam, the small Asian nation has a passionate football culture, which may explain why there have been so few Forgotten Football Clubs produced here.
In my research, I have found only ten Forgotten Football Clubs. This may be a combination of good management and Government intervention. Whatever the reasons, its also good to see a low number of defunct football clubs in one nation.
Here is a list of the ten Forgotten Football Clubs I found 👇🇻🇳
Binh Thuan FC
Ca Mau FC
Dong Nai FC
Équipe Féminine de Cai-Vôn (a women's team, noted as one of the earliest, disbanded in 1938)
Étoile de Giadinh
Mancons Saigon FC
Quang Nam FC (Note: This appears in defunct listings, though a modern Quang Nam FC has existed in recent V.League contexts; the defunct one likely refers to an earlier iteration)
Saigon FC
Saigon Port FC
Dinh Huong Phu Nhuan
Below is a map of the current football clubs in Vietnam that are still around. Map drawn by the brilliant @RiccardoDAgnese 😊
#NeverForget
Everyone comes back from Vietnam saying the same thing.
Food is cheap.
Hotels are cheap.
Taxis are cheap.
Shopping is cheap.
That makes people assume Vietnam is a poor country. It is not.
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia and a major global manufacturing hub. Apple, Samsung, Nike and many other brands now make a huge part of their products there.
So why does everything feel so affordable?
Because Vietnam keeps its currency weak on purpose.
A weaker dong makes Vietnamese exports cheaper for the rest of the world. That keeps factories running, jobs growing and global brands from shifting production to other low cost countries.
China used the exact same strategy during its rise.
So Vietnam is not cheap because it is struggling.
It is cheap because it is smart.
That is why it is both a great place to travel and a serious economic powerhouse at the same time.
Asked Cade Cunningham about Ryan Nembhard. They were high school teammates at Montverde Academy.
“It was no doubt that he was gonna find his way towards high-level basketball. He just did it a lot faster than we expected.”
On their 1v1 battles:
“I used to bust ‘em up.”
Yall Really need to put some respect on RJ Barrett name.. like comparing AJ to RJ is a bad thing.. do yall Googles MFS..
This game is when he played Kentucky….
33 PTS (13-26 FG, 3-7 3PT, 4-8 FTs)
6 AST
4 REBS…
This mf had 6 games with 30+ PTS
20 games with 20+ PTS..
He would be the #2 pick in this draft without a doubt…
This dude was drafted to one of the worst teams in NBA history. Lost an NBA record 28 straight games. Been through the trenches to bring basketball back to Detroit. Never complained. Never blamed his teammates. Never asked for a trade. Just put his head down and worked.
Nobody deserves this success more. An absolute DAWG.
