@etirabys iirc the anglophone kpop fandom had a lot of overlap with 1d, supernatural, etc back in the day (giving away my age here) and hence supported terrible fictitious outcomes between strapping young lads of more than one ethnic background

@owenbroadcast mainstream christian music (eg Hillsong) is designed to be used for worship, like how children's music is more didactic than artistic. maybe a better example is that the house jazz band at a cafe is going to play "jazz cafegoers expect" rather than jazz that pushes boundaries.
